During the AFP Conference in San Diego last April, we distributed cardboard cutouts of the Winspire Twins, Winston & Winnie. On the back were directions for people or groups to go take the most creative picture possible with the Twins anywhere at the conference or in the city. The winner of the contest would receive two 1-night Fairmont certificate to be used anywhere in the country! After sifting through plenty of creative submissions, we found our favorite from Michael Slaymaker from Easter Seals Disability Services in Florida, who was brave enough to get close to a group of massive sea lions to take a picture with the Twins.
Winspire would like to congratulate the Hellenic Community of Ottawa for their wonderfully successful Gold Plates Benefit last Tuesday, June 12th! They are ecstatic about how much money they were able to raise using Winspire packages. They reserved one package - America's Cup Yacht Sailing Experience in San Francisco Bay with 4-Night Stay and Airfare for 2 - at $2200 and sold it seven times at $4500 each. That's a total profit of over $16,000! Erin Giakoumelos, General Manager of Hellenic Community of Ottawa, was happy to share the news with us: "In total, we sold seven trips last night! Can you believe it? We are thrilled, it definitely provided the WOW factor for the evening! We are happy to announce the winner of the December 2011 Donation Give-Away! Helena Anderson, President of the Anderson Companies in Columbus, Ohio is excited to be donating the American Airlines certificates to Flying Horse Farms to use in their 2nd Annual Beneath the Stars 2012 fundraiser on October 5th where 100% of this donation will help send a child to camp.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berrien & Cass in Michigan (bbbsofbc.org) recently had a very successful fundraiser they almost didn't go through with due to staffing obstacles. Winspire worked with the organization to get the event in order, discussing various "Bucket List" items they could use to boost revenue and increase the profile of the auction. They enjoyed the concept of "Bucket List" items so much, they decided to name their event the "Time of Your Life Bucket List Evening Auction", and included multiple unique experience packages from Winspire. The event organizer, Kathryn S. Rossow, was thrilled by how the event turned out and had some kind words she wanted to share...

United Way of the Alberta Capital Region was thrilled with the success of their 2011 Suncor Fundraiser this year. It was their first time including Winspire packages at a fundraising event, and they successfully sold 7 different experiences a total of 14 times. Overall, Winspire items accounted for 31% of the total Auction Earnings for the 2011 Suncor Fundraiser.
The 21st Annual CHOC Walk in the Park presented by the Disneyland® Resort was a tremendous success with more than 14,000 walkers raising $1.7 million for Children’s Hospital of Orange County! Our staff here at Winspire was happy to participate with 50 walkers at “way too early of an hour” on a Sunday morning. Thank you to all of you who made the walk. While the time was early, it was well worth it.
